Fynbos Guest Farm

Fynbos Guest Farm is located  just outside the town of Wolseley between the Ceres Mountain and the Waterval nature reserves.  The camp site can be easily accessed via the N1 and the R44 via Wellington (130 kms) or on the R101 via Rawsonville and Wolseley  (133 kms).  Either way, the estimated travel time from Cape Town is 1h40m.  Either take the N1 and turn onto the R44 at Klapmunts ; travel through Wellington and at the town of Gouda, take the R45 towards Wolseley.  Or, take the N1 through the tunnel, turn left onto the R101;  at the T-junction with the R43, turn left towards Wolseley.  Both roads are tarred up until this point.  8 kms from Wolseley turn south onto the gravel road.  After 400m turn left and another 400m further on, you will have arrived at the camp site.

Road conditions
All the roads leading to Wolsely are tarred.  The gravel road to the camp site is in a good condition and can be navigated with a  standard SUV.  Also, the gravel road portion is only 800m long, so this shouldn't be a problem for any vehicle.

The camp site has 10 stands , which are clearly demarcated  and offer a relatively high degree of privacy.  The ground consists of soft sand and crusher dust and it is relatively easy to drive your tent pegs in.  There is very little grass, so make sure to pack your ground sheets if you want to keep your tents clean. Tents, trailers and caravans are all welcome.

Each site has its own electricity connection with a standard plug.

There is a communal ablution facility for all the campsites with separate mens and ladies bathrooms.  .  The ablution block is very pretty and decorated with sculptures, aloes and potted plants. There is a toilet, a basin and a shower in each one.  The hot water to the bathrooms is supplied by electric geysers, so there is ample hot water to go around.  The ablutions are always kept neat and clean.  Toilet paper is supplied, just bring some soap.

Each site has a lovely stone braai and the braai grid is supplied.   Wood can be purchased from the owner.

Bins are provided on the campsites, and separation of recyclable materials is encouraged.
